When the Hybrid refers to “the Chosen One” to Baltar and D’Anna, I think each thought the Hybrid was referring to him/herself. And it did appear the Hybrid was looking directly at them, or perhaps directly at Baltar. However, I think the Chief is the Chosen One. Didn’t the Hybrid also mention something about the [...]

It seems like season 3.0 just started, but here we are at the mid-season cliffhanger already. Highlights: We try to unravel the mystery of the Eye of Jupiter, love on Adama’s nerves of steel, wonder what’ll come of Anders, discuss Athena’s baby momma drama, and wish this wasn’t the last new BSG we’ll get until January! Note: [...]

Ken writes: “In the episode The Passage Baltar and Number 3 talk to the hybrid and receive something like a prophecy from her concerning the Eye of Jupiter. Whether this is a place or an artifact is not really clear, but the odd thing is the name Jupiter.  Jupiter is the Roman name for the Greek [...]

We’ve signed on two more guests for the Christmas break:
For the December 29th ‘cast, we’ll be joined by science fiction author Tony Daniel. Technically Tony’s already a GWC veteran as he sat in with us for Podcast #8, but this time he’ll be a featured guest here to talk about the social implications of ”downloading” – a topic [...]

Wow. “The Passage” really moved us — and gave us a lot to think about. Highlights: Kat (’nuff said), trying to understand D’Anna and Baltar’s interpretation of hybrid-speak, speculating about the “remaining five,” and wondering why it’s so difficult for Sci-fi standards to allow Starbuck to say “gave him head.” (There — that wasn’t so [...]

Arktis writes: “Battlestar Galactica at its core is about the advancement of technology to the point that (due to human nature), it reaches a level that is dangerous and uncontrollable. The Cylons are the ultimate personification of this idea, and literally want to replace humans.Â
“The solution offered in BSG is that humanity has to start [...]

Our first guest (on the Dec. 22nd ‘cast) will be Zach Exley. Though you’ve probably [...]

Armando writes: “So I just watched Kobol’s Last Gleaming again. It strikes me that when Starbuck finds the arrow of Apollo in the Delphi museum the Number Six that ambushes her there seems very interested in the arrow. Could it be that the Cylon plan involved finding Earth all along and that they simply needed [...]

Galacti-Geek AJ writes: “Throughout the first season, I often found myself wondering what the nature of God was in the BSG Universe. Faith – or lack thereof — in God had a significant effect on events within the show. The events surrounding the Olympic Carrier in 33, the Tylium refinery in Hand of God, and the [...]
