The Information We Collect and How We Use It

To post comments to Galactica Watercooler, we require you to provide a valid email address.  We use this information to help reduce “comment spam.”  We also collect email information when you utilize our “send this post by email” functionality.  Your email address is not displayed publicly on Galactica Watercooler, and we agree that we’ll never share your email with a third party.  We do, from time to time, contact you personally via the email you provide to ask questions about your post or to notify you should you win any comment-based prizes.  We reserve the right to contact you personally at some point in the future to notify you of changes to the site or this policy.  If at any time you’d like us to remove your email address from our list for notification purposes, contact us.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers.  For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on Galactica Watercooler, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.  Our traffic reporting software records IP addresses, internet service provider information, referrer strings, browser types, and the date and time pages are loaded.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Euclidean, Inc. is the sole owner of any information collected via Galactica Watercooler. (Euclidean, Inc. is the business entity which owns Galactica Watercooler.)

Comments

Galactica Watercooler’s posts each contain comment functionality.  We do not actively monitor these comments, and the information in them is for entertainment purposes only.  If we’re alerted to something we deem inappropriate in any way, we may delete it at our discretion.
